Description:

Back in the '50s and '60s the Toby was a legend. Hardly a tackle box could be found that didn't have a few Toby spoons ready and waiting. Although not available in the United States from 1970-2000, anglers in Europe and around the globe never stopped catching fish with the classic lure.
The Toby is a narrow spoon-type bait valued for both deep and shallow presentations. When retrieved with rod tip high the Toby wobbles and thrashes along the surface causing fish from below to rise to the occasion. Drop the rod tip and the bait has an erratic motion that mimics a baitfish that can't decide which way to swim. Slow the retrieve and the Toby drops even deeper. Fished vertically, the Toby can be jigged up and down with a motion that is sure to result in a strike.
The Toby is distinguished by the two red fins along the sides of the lure near the tail and an undulating body shape. It is this body shape that gives the Toby its erratic motion when retrieved.
Available in two sizes, 3" long weighing 3/8 oz and 3½" long weighing 5/8 oz. Five different holographic colors are offered including silver, copper, silver with blue, green with a yellow pattern and white.
